Cry of the Hunters
What will become of Ralph?
Perspective: Piggy
I often wonder what would have happened to me if I had survived that crash on the rocks last night. I know I died there, and it doesn't surprise me that I died by Jack's hand. Well, Rodger's really, but Jack's intentions were clear. He would have killed me too. Oh I hope Ralph will be alright. The entire time we were on this island he never made fun of me, never ridiculed me, never pushed me around or called me fat. Ralph was a true friend to me, and I feel like I let him down. I've been watching Ralph from up high now, and it pains me to see him all alone, with Jack's tribe out to kill him. Jack continues his bizzare rituals every night, with his band of savages dancing around the fire singing, “kill the pig, cut her throat, spill her blood.” But Jack can't diddle with the boys for long. They will eventually see that he really is crazy... Won't they? Those savages, with their distended bellies full of meat and fruit, that must keep them at Jack's side. But that must be the only thing keeping them there, right? Otherwise they would see his insanity. Jack plans to hunt Ralph like an animal. Using ululations as signals, they plan to form a cordon that spans the entire island and spear Ralph. But knowing Ralph, he would find a hiding place, a clever one too, where nobody would ever think to look. I saw one of the hunters injured, I think by Ralph's spear. I heard Samneric talking about sharpening a stick on both sides, like they used to spear the pig's head into the ground. I hope the same fate does not await Ralph. There is an air about the forest now, an air of tension, an air of death. I have heard loud shouts, and now I see a figure dashing through the trees. Could it be? RALPH?!?! YES YES IT IS RALPH! RUN RALPH THEY WILL KILL YOU! RUN! Ralph ran all the way to the beach, and there, standing, like a god, a British soldier, clothed in a dark blue uniform with silver epaulettes gleaming in the sunlight. The boys can finally go home.....

I liked the way you wrote it. I could understand what the vocabulary meant. I thought that it sounded like Piggy and it was good the way you wrote it like he saw everything.
I like the way you wrote your perspective of Piggy. But Ralph did kind of make fun of him, in the beginning of the book, when Ralph told everyone that his name was Piggy. I also like how you described everything that Piggy would see.
I like the way you your blog about Piggy. I could understand your writing and understand the way you use the vocabulary in this writing. I like how you wrote how Piggy would would feel and see when Piggy died. That is cool because you kind of have to figure out what that person would say.
